Information for Jet Tec E111 – Epson Stylus D78/D92/D120 series Extralife cartridges

During the course of printing the ink level will approach about 20%, at this point the ink level in the status monitor will freeze, even though ink is being used in printing. The ink being used is the 'Extralife'. Eventually when the 'Extralife' ink has been used up the ink level will start dropping again and the exclamation mark will appear showing that the ink is getting low. Finally when the ink has all been used the red cross will appear.

Information for Jet Tec E112 – Epson Stylus Photo R265/R360/RX560 Extralife cartridges

If heavy printing is performed towards the end of the cartridge, users may see a message saying that the cartridge cannot be recognised (see image 2).

Instead of the normal message saying ink is out (see image 1).

This message is being shown because during heavy printing, the printer does not update the ink level in the cartridge chip, causing it to give even more 'Extralife' than we quote. The printer stops the printing at a safety level before all the ink is used up, but complains by giving this other message (see image 2).

Simply replace the empty cartridge in the normal manner, to remove this message.

For all other extralife Inkjet Cartridges


When your cartridge registers 'empty' in the status monitor:

1. Cancel print job
2. Switch off printer
3. Wait 10 seconds and switch printer on again.
4. When asked if you want to continue using the
    installed ink cartridges, please click 'yes'.

Your print monitor will now register the extralife and you can continue printing!
